In Rankweil, two elongated roof wings made of exposed concrete were added to the reception building, with bus terminals on one side and a bike-and-ride facility on the other, offering direct access to train platforms and a spacious underpass connecting different parts of the city. The station is completed by weather-protected waiting areas, forecourts, car parking spaces, and commercial space. The clear homogeneity of the structure, with wide sightlines for quick orientation on the way to the train and bus, is emphasized by the consistent use of uncolored concrete as a prestressed exposed concrete construction.
