The design for Götzis railway station conceives the transport hub as a sustainable and identity-defining public space at the heart of a growing municipality. A large, multifunctional roof unifies train, bus, bike-and-ride facilities, service areas, and waiting zones, ensuring clear orientation and a high quality of stay. The station is fully barrier-free and seamlessly integrated into the regional cycling and pedestrian network. Durable materials, extensive greenery, and integrated photovoltaic systems – up to an energy-plus station – underline the project’s strong ecological and future-oriented approach.
