The newly designed, barrier-free, and generously dimensioned passage for pedestrian and bicycle traffic and for access to rail transport is an important urban axis, providing a direct connection between the city center of Bregenz and the promenade along Bodensee. It passes under the multi-lane Seestraße and provides access to the tracks of the Arlberg line between Innsbruck and Bregenz. Linked to the busy Lochau–Bregenz cycle route, the passage is also used daily by many people as a direct cycle connection to the city center.
