The new Rhine bridge is a single-track railway bridge belonging to ÖBB and connects St. Margarethen in Switzerland with Lustenau in Austria. It consists of two approach bridges on the Austrian side, four approach bridges on the Swiss side, and a main bridge whose supporting structure consists of two concrete arches inclined toward each other, crossing the Rhine with a span of over 100 meters. The new construction prevents the bridge from becoming an obstacle during floods and causing flooding of the Rhine valley.
